PHP Appalachia was born from a few IRC discussions between Ben, Elizabeth, Aaron, and Chris. While it started out as a general discussion (which then became LampCamp.org), it then morphed into this beast we call PHP Appalachia.

The idea behind it is to gather a bunch of PHP enthusiasts together, and to keep it simple. We wanted to camp and talk PHP, but we didn’t want anything fancy. Nothing formal, nothing pretentious, just a bunch of geeks in tents sharing thoughts, ideas, and experiences with PHP and PHP related things.

So bring your tents, your marshmallows, your best campfire stories, and of course your laptop, and come join us for some fun!
